Application for Admission

Universal application form (PDF)

You can apply to any of the 32 Minnesota State Colleges and Universities with a single form. A one-time $20 non-refundable application fee must be sent with the application form to each institution where you apply. Institutions may waive this fee in case of financial need. If you feel you may qualify for a waiver, contact the admissions office and ask about its policy.

Apply as early as possible, especially to state universities and popular career and technical programs that have limited enrollment. For specific information, check with the admissions office of the college or university.

The universal application form may be used to apply to any Minnesota State Colleges and Universities institution including state universities, community colleges, technical colleges and comprehensive community and technical colleges. (View list of system institutions)

2. Send us a request and we will mail you a copy of the universal application form.
3. Call the system's toll-free number, 1-888-MnSCU-4-U (1-888-667-2848), to request that an application for enrollment be mailed to you.
4. Or, stop by any college or university and pick one up. If you call before you visit, you can arrange to tour the campus while you're there. (Select a campus to find information about addresses, telephone numbers, and Web site addresses for each college and university).
