Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Trustee Dusek appointed to national commmittee

Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Trustee Ivan Dusek of Willmar has been appointed to serve on the Association of Community College Trustees Diversity Committee.
Dusek will serve a one-year term on the Diversity Committee beginning Jan. 1, 2004, and ending Dec. 31, 2004.
The Association of Community College Trustees is a nonprofit educational organization of governing boards, representing more than 6,500 elected and appointed trustees who govern 1,200 community, technical and junior colleges in the United States, Canada and England. The association offers trustee training and professional development, educational programs, research and publications, board services and public policy advocacy.
Dusek was appointed to the Board of Trustees of Minnesota State
Colleges and Universities in 2000 for a six-year term expiring June
30, 2006. He is chair of the board's Human Resources Policy Committee
and also serves on the Educational Policy Committee. Dusek holds
a bachelor's degree from Drake University and a doctorate from the
University of Minnesota. Dusek is a retired Ridgewater College faculty
member who taught communication and theater.
The Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System comprises 33
state universities and community and technical colleges serving
the higher education needs of Minnesota. The system serves about
240,000 students per year in credit-based courses and an additional
130,000 students in non-credit courses.
